Job Description

Your hands-on duties will include sorting freight onto the correct trucks for dispatch and picking, checking and packing customer orders into appropriate bins or vehicles. You’ll also complete orders left over from the day shift, focusing on accuracy and minimising damage.


Essential requirements

  • Comfortable working in a cool store with temperatures ranging from 2°C to -18°C . Most work is in the chiller, with some time in the freezer.
  • Current OSH Forklift Certificate
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced freight environment.
  • Previous leadership experience

  • A hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside the team and get involved in the operation.
  • Strong warehouse experience and practical forklift operating experience.
  • The ability to motivate and support team members.
  • Knowledge of and experience with HACCP requirements.
  • Computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience applying team-based improvement techniques.
  • Open and effective communication skills.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage conflict and challenges to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Awareness of the financial impact of operational decisions.
  • A commercial approach to decision-making
