This is an opportunity to be part of a great organisation where you will support our team at Hawkes Bay Regional Prison, HBRP.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Receiving and checking incoming goods against invoices or packing lists.
  • Placing items in designated storage areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Keeping track of stock levels and locations.
  • Performing regular stocktakes.
  • Assisting with data entry and paperwork.
  • Unloading deliveries from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies.
  • Reorganizing storage areas.
  • Operating forklifts or pallet jacks to move items.
  • Ensuring safety procedures are followed.
  • Interacting with suppliers or customers regarding deliveries.
  • Supporting with general administration as per Administration Support Officer Job Description.
  • Some heavy lifting required.


This is a role with high expectations and performance standards, requiring the successful applicant to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines and operational requirements

  • Experience in warehousing, stores and stocktaking.
  • A good level of physical fitness, with the ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Manaaki and respect in all interactions.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
  • Resilience, adaptability and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with people from all walks of life.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive or personal information.
  • A current forklift licence is desirable but not essential. Applicants with forklift experience are encouraged to apply.

Ngā painga | The benefits


The midpoint of the salary range is $ per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $64,717 - $68,434 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
