Job Description

About the role


You'll be part of a hands-on crew working on a range of projects including roads, driveways, car parks and footpaths. Day to day, you'll be:


  • Preparing sites, including clearing, grading and compacting base layers
  • Laying, raking and finishing hot-mix asphalt
  • Working alongside pavers and rollers to get a quality finish
  • Patching, pothole repairs and general maintenance work
  • Setting up and following traffic management on site
  • Keeping the site safe, tidy and to spec


What you'll need


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in asphalt or roading work
  • At least a restricted driver's licence
  • Heavy machinery experience (paver, roller, loader, etc.) is not essential but could be an advantage
  • A strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude
  • Good understanding of health and safety on site
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, including occasional night or weekend work
  • Reliable and punctual
