Job Description

Our Client is a leading provider of top-quality mechanical services, is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a temporary basis. Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical fitting, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail
  • Repair & Maintain Mechanical Plants
  • Diagnose & Fix Breakdowns On-site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills


The successful candidate must hold a Class 1 driver's license and a minimum of a Level 4 National Certificate in Engineering in welding, fitter/turner, toolmaking, or maintenance. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check if required. While prior experience in rigging with a forklift license is preferred, the role is open to all NZ citizens, residents, or those with a valid open work visa.
