Got solid construction experience and ready to step up your skills?


We're looking for an experienced Hammerhand to jump onto a busy commercial construction project in Wānaka, with an immediate start available.


This is a hands-on role working alongside experienced carpenters, so you'll be getting involved in the build – not just pushing a broom around site. For the right person, there's also the opportunity to roll onto future commercial and residential projects.


If you're confident on the tools, know your way around a construction site and want consistent work with a good crew, we want to hear from you.


What you'll be doing

  • Working alongside qualified carpenters on a busy commercial build
  • Framing, fit-out and general carpentry work
  • Measuring, cutting and installing building materials
  • Confidently operating hand and power tools
  • Assisting with formwork, concreting and other stages of the build
  • Getting exposure to different areas of commercial construction
  • Keeping the site safe, tidy and moving

What we're looking for

  • At least 2–3 years' construction or Hammerhand experience
  • Confident using a good range of hand and power tools
  • Comfortable measuring and cutting accurately
  • Someone who can take direction and then crack on with the job
  • Reliable, physically fit and keen to work
  • Reliable transport
  • Site Safe is an advantage but not essential
