Sales Manager – Napier

Lead high performers. Elevate an established premium brand. Love where you work.

This is an opportunity to lead an experienced, high-performing team within one of New Zealand’s most respected real estate brands.

Our Napier office has a strong reputation, an established premium position and a successful team. We’re looking for an energetic, commercially minded Sales Manager who can build trust, coach effectively and continue to lift both people and performance.

The Opportunity

As Sales Manager, you’ll lead and support our Napier Sales Associates while working closely with the General Manager and Central Region leadership team.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring energy, initiative and strong people skills. You’ll be comfortable working with a diverse group of experienced salespeople, understanding what drives each individual and adapting your leadership approach accordingly.

You’ll bring confidence to meaningful coaching and performance conversations, know when to challenge and when to support, and be proactive in identifying opportunities to further strengthen individual, team and office performance.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Coaching and developing Sales Associates to maximise performance.
  • Leading and enhancing a strong, high-performing team culture.
  • Driving accountability around activity, standards and results.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow productivity, market share and business performance.
  • Recruiting quality people who complement the existing team.
  • Championing the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and client experience.
  • Representing the business strongly within the Napier market and wider community.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven sales or people leadership experience.
  • Strong coaching and people development capability.
  • Confidence working with experienced, high-performing salespeople.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
  • An energetic, proactive and commercially focused leadership style.
  • The ability to set clear expectations and have constructive performance conversations.
  • A genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
  • A Branch Manager licence, or willingness to complete the required study, is essential.
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry is essential. Leadership experience is preferred but not required

Why join us:

  • Lead an experienced and successful Napier team.
  • Join an internationally recognised premium real estate brand.
  • Be part of a supportive regional leadership group.
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership training.
  • Competitive remuneration aligned to success.
  • Live and work in beautiful Napier.
