Job Description

Busy Bees Whau Valley is looking for a Centre Administrator to be the welcoming face of our centre.  You’ll provide essential support to our kaiako, whānau, and the Centre Manager while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the centre

This is a part-time role on-site in Whau Valley - 5 days a week | 4 hours a day.

The Opportunity | Te Āheinga

  • Manage new enrolments and maintain the accuracy of our Child Management System
  • Act as the welcoming first point of contact for all internal and external administrative queries
  • Build and nurture high quality relationships with our parents and whānau
  • Handle invoicing, parent payments and debtor follow up in line with centre policy
  • Support families with completing WINZ applications and accessing subsidies
  • Reconcile staff timesheets to provide accurate payroll support
  • Coordinate information and reporting between the centre and our Support Office
  • Assist the Centre Manager with general administration and health and safety records


About You | Mōu

  • Brings administration experience from an ECE or similar dispersed service organisation
  • Works with exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality and accuracy
  • Communicates warmly and professionally with our whānau and visitors
  • Uses their initiative and manages their time effectively in a busy setting
  • Is tech savvy and comfortable with MS Office and learning new management systems
  • Ideally has an understanding of ECE legislation, 20 hours ECE or WINZ subsidies
