Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of disabled students?

We are looking for Disability and Inclusion Advisors to join a small but dedicated team at Massey University, based at our Wellington or Palmerston North campuses.

The position requires a skilled professional who can provide advice and coordinate support to assist our disabled ākonga to succeed at university study, while working collaboratively to improve accessibility and inclusion for students with disabilities at Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University.

Our ideal candidates will:

  • Have relevant tertiary qualifications, and/or significant experience in the disability sector.
  • Have respect for the lived experience and expertise of disabled people, and knowledge of the issues and barriers for students in tertiary education and for Māori, Pacific and
  • Rainbow/Takatāpui people.
  • Bring experience in needs assessment and case management in a multi-disciplinary and complex organisation.
  • Develop the capability of staff and the wider Massey community in creating a positive and inclusive educational environment for diverse learners.
  • Be a great collaborator, communicator, and connector with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Identify as Tangata Whenua or Tangata Tiriti.

We are offering two permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week, 1.0 FTE) positions, one each based at Massey’s campuses in Manawatū and Wellington. The salary band for this position is Grade 6, ($71,274 to $101,329), based on skills and experience.
