BestStart Powells Road Kindy – Home of the Brave is looking for a dedicated Caregiver to join our welcoming team. Working 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday to Friday) , this role offers the opportunity for additional hours and is ideal for experienced caregivers, career changers, or Year 1-2 TiNTs looking to build their skills in a supportive environment.

About the Role


As a Caregiver, you'll work across our 2-5 year old age group , supporting our teaching team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for tamariki.


You'll:


  • Build meaningful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues
  • Support learning through play and everyday routines
  • Participate fully in centre activities and daily operations
  • Bring positivity, initiative and a willingness to learn
  • Contribute to a culture where everyone feels valued and supported


What We're Looking For


  • Experience working with children under five
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in te ao Māori would be an advantage
