Rotorua Lakes Council is looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Security Specialist to play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and protecting our technology environment.

This hands-on position combines infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, vendor management, and project delivery to ensure our systems remain secure, resilient, and fit for purpose. Working across cloud services, networks, identity and access management, endpoints, monitoring platforms, and business technology systems, you'll help deliver technology solutions that enable Council to operate effectively and securely.


What You'll Do:

  • Support and maintain Council's ICT infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Deliver security improvements and strengthen organisational resilience.
  • Lead and contribute to technology projects from implementation through to operational support.
  • Work closely with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Ensure systems, processes, and technology changes are well documented, secure, and supportable.


About You:

You’ll be a proactive and technically capable ICT professional with experience across infrastructure and security disciplines. You enjoy solving complex problems, collaborating with others, and delivering practical solutions that make a real difference.
