Our client is seeking Engineering Surveyors and Senior Engineering Surveyors to join their highly professional and skilled survey team.

Opportunities are available across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan, Toowoomba, Hervey Bay, Townsville, Cairns and regional Queensland.


The Role

Monday to Friday roles available across a range of major civil infrastructure and transport projects throughout Queensland.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Import data into systems for drafting and final plan production
  • Update and maintain set-out models and survey data using 12D
  • Convert digital models and survey information into GPS-compatible files
  • Upload and maintain survey data within instruments and machine control systems
  • Monitor and maintain survey software and equipment upgrades
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure survey accuracy
  • Plan and coordinate survey set-out activities across projects
  • Conduct survey calculations and quality assurance activities
  • Support project delivery teams with accurate survey information
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and quality systems
  • Mentor and develop junior survey staff where required
  • Essential Skills and Attributes Experience working as an Engineering Surveyor or Senior Engineering Surveyor
  • Experience on civil infrastructure, road or highway projects
  • Strong 12D experience
  • Experience with Trimble and/or Leica equipment
  • Strong technical proficiency with GNSS, total stations, digital levels and machine control systems
  • Tertiary qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years' surveying experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and project delivery
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • White Card - Construction Industry General Induction
  • Australian or New Zealand Citizenship
