Class 4 Truck Driver - Full-Time Opportunity in Hamilton

Location: Hamilton, New Zealand

Pay Rate: $30-$32 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Minimum Gauranteed Hours: 30 hours per week

Employement Type: Full time, permanent


D D Sharma Limited is a 100% Waikato-owned and operated transportation company with over 12 years of industry experience. We are looking for experienced Class 4 Truck Drivers to join our team!


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

As a Class 4 Truck Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating various truck combinations confidently and safely.
  • Handling Metro and quarry deliveries efficiently.
  • Manoeuvring vehicles into position for safe loading and unloading.
  • Using lifting and tipping decides to assist with freight handling.
  • Verifying loading documents and ensuring proper weighing of goods.
  • Conducting regular vehicle safety checks and maintenance.
  • Ensuring cargo is secured and all safety protocols are followed.
  • Reporting defects, accidents and violations promptly.
  • Keeping accurate records of logbooks, fuel cards and other documentation.


Who we are looking for:

  • Class 4 Full New Zealand Driver's License (clean record required).
  • At least 3 years of truck driving experience.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Basic truck maintenance knowledge and ability to conduct routine checks.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members.
  • Understanding of transport laws and safety regulations.
