Job Description

We are looking for an Industrial Cleaner / Production Assistant to join our client’s great team in Mangere !


This is a hands-on role within a busy high-hygiene manufacturing plant , suited to someone with experience in industrial production cleaning, enjoys physical work, takes pride in keeping things clean and organised, and is happy to pitch in wherever needed.


Shifts / rosters: Monday – Friday | 6:00am – 3:30pm

Pay rate: $25.98 starting rate.


WHAT YOU WILL DO


  • Carry out daily cleaning of production areas, machinery, equipment and workstations to maintain high hygiene standards
  • Remove production waste and recycling, and keep the plant clean, tidy and safe
  • Assist the production team with general labouring, housekeeping and other hands-on tasks as required
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
  • Basic admin tasks for recording
  • Complete routine cleaning schedules and report maintenance issues or workplace hazards


WHAT YOU NEED


  • Previous experience in an FMCG, food production, manufacturing or similar high-hygiene environment
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck into a hands-on, physical role
  • Great attention to detail and a strong focus on hygiene and safety
  • A reliable attitude and the flexibility to help out across different areas of the plant
