Project Manager, Southeast Queensland & Regional Queensland based role – Not FIFO


$170,000 - $210,000 AUD + superannuation + motor vehicle + $5K relocation package

They have projects across South East Queensland (Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Townsville, Cairns, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan) as well as the regional towns Hervey Bay, Townsville and Cairns.


Projects are 60% urban development (typically subdivisions) for private companies and councils and 40% infrastructure (roads, bridges, rail etc) for Transport & Main Roads (TMR) & council projects.


The Role


  • Opportunity for experienced Project Manager to join their civil infrastructure development division, they have a vast range of projects currently underway with projected growth in the coming few months.
  • This role is a full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a project's programming, safety coordination, subcontractor management and supervision of all technical aspects of the project.
  • Responsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.
  • Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required.
  • Lead and support the project team through project activities and any changes to the project scope.
  • Coaching, mentoring and training of relevant staff and identify and develop staff within the department
  • Responsible for monthly assessments and forecasts of project's financial performance.
  • Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions.

About You


  • 3 years NZ + experience in similar role
  • Experience in the Project Management in any of urban development, subdivisions, infrastructure (transport, roads, bridges, rail)
  • Solid demonstrated civil engineering experience including proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a project and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
  • Construction White Card.
