Job Description

Hard Landscaper

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Hard Landscaper to work on residential landscaping projects across Christchurch. The main focus of this role is artificial grass installation, so we’re looking for someone with strong hard landscaping skills who can handle site preparation, installation and finishing work to a high standard. Some soft landscaping experience will also be useful.


Location: Christchurch

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $35–$40 per hour depending on experience + weekly pay


  • What You’ll Be DoingPrepare ground and surfaces ready for artificial grass installation
  • Measure, cut, lay and secure artificial grass to a high standard
  • Complete base preparation, levelling, edging and finishing work
  • Carry out paving, retaining, fencing and other hard landscaping tasks
  • Install drainage where required as part of landscaping projects
  • Assist with soft landscaping and general finishing work
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety
  • What We’re Looking ForProven hard landscaping experience
  • Experience installing artificial grass or transferable installation skills
  • Strong ground preparation, levelling and finishing skills
  • Some soft landscaping knowledge and practical experience
  • High attention to detail and pride in your finished work
  • Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
  • Physically fit with a strong commitment to health and safety
