We're looking for a detail-focused and proactive Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified (or soon-to-be qualified) accountant who enjoys balancing technical accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, multi-entity environment. Based on strong financial fundamentals, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting the ongoing success of the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting.
  • Maintaining general ledger integrity, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting year-end financial statements, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Assisting with tax obligations including GST, FBT, and income tax.
  • Analysing financial information and supporting decision-making across the business.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and controls.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Finance team to deliver accurate and timely results.

What you'll bring

  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
  • 3+ years' experience in financial accounting or audit.
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS/NZ IFRS accounting standards.
  • Exposure to direct and indirect tax compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally Navision or Business Central.
  • A proactive mindset, excellent organisation skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
