Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Technician to join our modern Invercargill workshop.

About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out all aspects of servicing, maintenance, warranty, diagnostics and repairs across a range of heavy diesel vehicles.
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Trouble shoot and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Delivering efficient, high-quality workmanship and customer service
  • Liaising with technical support teams and workshop staff
  • Assisting with the development and mentoring of apprentice and junior technicians
  • Participating in an on-call roster (approximately one week per month)

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised trade qualification in Heavy Automotive or Diesel Mechanics
  • Experience working on heavy transport vehicles and equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • A minimum Class 2 driver's licence
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • A commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Applicants must be a New Zealand Citizen, Resident, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
