Job Description

Class 5 Driver

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join a busy transport operation in Dunedin. You’ll be transporting chilled and frozen goods, so this role suits a reliable driver who takes pride in safe, efficient deliveries and providing excellent service to customers.


Location: Dunedin City, Dunedin

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $35 per hour + weekly pay


  • What You'll Be DoingDeliver and pick up chilled and frozen products
  • Maintain required temperature controls throughout transportation
  • Assist the Stores team with preparing products for loading and unloading
  • Work closely with dispatchers to keep deliveries running to schedule
  • Complete deliveries efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service
  • Follow transport, site and company safety procedures
  • Take care of the vehicle and equipment used throughout your shift
  • What We're Looking ForCurrent Class 5 NZ Driver Licence
  • Ideally at least 2 years of Class 5 driving experience
  • Previous frozen or temperature-controlled freight experience
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Sound understanding of transport health, safety and compliance requirements
  • OSH Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
