The Role| Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Sunday - Monday 3pm - 11:30pm basedin Christchurch.


Join our forensic residential service supporting tangata whaiora on theirjourney from inpatient services to living in the community.

The forensicservice is a high needs service, so you'll need to be able to build strongrelationships with tangata whaiora and their whanau.


What does a Support Worker do?  You’ll work alongside individuals tosupport their recovery, improve their wellbeing and to live a life that’smeaningful to them.  So you might be assisting them with meal prep andclean-up and other daily living tasks, working on an activity, and assistingwith medication where required.


You’ll also

  • Focus on the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice.
  • Complete relevant administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, provide effective handovers to the next shift, and support and collaborate with your colleagues.

About You | Mōu

  • You’ll be someone who enjoys outdoor activities
  • You’ll be outgoing and enjoy engaging and supporting with others
  • Preferably you’ll hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or a recognised equivalent. To check if your qualification is equivalent, use the link below.   • Hold a full driver’s licence
  • Hold a comprehensive first aid Certificate – covering 6400, 6401 and 6402 unit standards
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti Waitangi.
