Loadmaster is a long-established New Zealand manufacturer of vehicle decks, tow bars and specialist vehicle fit-outs. We are looking for an experienced Tow Bar Fabricator to join our team at our modern, purpose-built facility in Sockburn.


The Role


Working as part of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the fabrication of tow bars for a wide range of vehicles.


Your day-to-day work will include:


  • Fabricating tow bars using purpose-built jigs and fixtures
  • Working from established patterns and proven manufacturing processes
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • MIG welding and general fabrication
  • Ensuring a high standard of workmanship and finish
  • Working within our quality management system
  • Contributing to our continuous improvement programme


What we're looking for


Ideally, you will have:


  • Previous experience in tow bar, automotive or general fabrication
  • Good MIG welding and fabrication skills
  • The ability to work accurately and efficiently from jigs and patterns
  • A strong focus on quality and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
  • The ability to work independently and take pride in your workmanship


Industry experience is preferred, but the right person with strong fabrication skills will be considered.
