Job Description

  • Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential
  • Drive cutover planning and execution for a business-critical payroll programme

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery planning and cutover activities for a major payroll transformation programme.

The project involves integrating PayGlobal with Workday and establishing the processes, environments, and governance required to support a successful deployment. A key focus of this role will be developing and managing a highly detailed cutover plan, coordinating dependencies across business and technology teams, and ensuring a controlled transition through testing, sandbox deployment, and production readiness.

This role requires a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable working in complex environments and can bring structure, rigour, and clarity to a critical programme of work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the end-to-end project delivery of a payroll transformation initiative
  • Develop and maintain a detailed cutover plan with clear milestones, dependencies, owners, and contingencies
  • Coordinate the deployment of solutions into sandbox and production environments
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, and governance processes
  • Drive project planning across Payroll, HR, Technology, Data, and vendor teams
  • Facilitate project working groups, steering committees, and stakeholder forums
  • Ensure all testing, readiness, reconciliation, and deployment activities are planned and executed successfully
  • Manage cutover rehearsals and support go-live preparation activities
  • Track progress and communicate project status to senior stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience delivering complex technology or business transformation projects
  • Strong project planning and delivery management skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing detailed cutover and deployment plans
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams, dependencies, and stakeholders
  • Strong risk, issue, and governance management capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work effectively across business and technical teams

Highly Desirable

  • Payroll transformation project experience
  • PayGlobal experience
  • Workday implementation or integration experience
  • Payroll remediation or Holidays Act programme experience
  • Experience managing enterprise system deployments and go-live activities

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a delivery-focused Project Manager who thrives in complex environments and enjoys bringing structure to large-scale transformation programmes. You will be equally comfortable operating at a strategic level with senior stakeholders and at a detailed level managing cutover activities and project execution.

Apply Now

If you have a track record of successfully delivering complex transformation projects and are confident leading cutover planning and execution, we’d love to hear from you.
