Head Groundsperson | Lead High-Quality Sports Turf & Grounds Operations


Are you a passionate grounds professional with strong leadership skills and a background in sports turf or horticulture? Ventia is seeking an experienced Head Groundsperson to lead our onsite grounds maintenance team, delivering outstanding results across high-profile sports and recreational assets.


In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, manage work programmes, champion health and safety, and ensure all grounds are maintained to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Commercial Account Manager and Operations team, you'll drive performance, develop staff, and build strong client relationships.


What you'll bring:


  • Qualification in Turf Management or Horticulture
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar supervisory role
  • Proven leadership and team management capability
  • Strong knowledge of sports turf, grounds maintenance, and horticultural practices
  • Excellent planning, communication, and reporting skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
