Affinity Medical Imaging is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a patient-focused Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing Molecular Imaging team in Wellington. We are open to both full-time and part-time applications, with the role based at our modern multi-modality Johnsonville facility.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a brand-new PET/CT service alongside an established Nuclear Medicine Department, all located on the same site. You will collaborate with a highly skilled team of radiologists, clinicians, and imaging professionals while utilising state-of-the-art technology, including:

•    Siemens Biograph Trinion PET/CT

•    Siemens Symbia Pro.specta X3 SPECT/CT

Previous PET/CT experience is welcomed but not essential. We are committed to supporting professional growth and will provide training for the successful Nuclear Medicine candidate looking to expand their expertise into PET/CT imaging. This site is brand new, and great consideration has been given to patient comfort and the radiation safety of staff with the utilisation of a Karl 100 and Rad-inj automated injection system. We also utilise a Gallium-68 generator, so there will be opportunities to develop valuable radiopharmacy skills.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will:

•    Hold a qualification in Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT

•    Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB). Candidates who require supervision hours as part of their NZ MRTB registration process will be considered.

•    Be able to obtain a current Annual Practising Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.

•    Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centred care and exceptional service delivery.

•    Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine focus on patients and whānau.

•    Be highly organised, adaptable, and able to maintain attention to detail in a busy clinical environment.

•    Enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

•    Show enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and continuing education.

•    Support the education and mentoring of students and colleagues.

•    Embrace continuous quality improvement initiatives.
