This role involves assisting Teachers with daily routines, engaging with children in play and learning experiences, and helping to maintain a clean and safe environment. Cleaning duties are part of the role, and applicants should be physically active and comfortable working in a busy early childhood setting.

About You:

  • Reliable and available, often at short notice
  • Experience with children under 5 (preferred)
  • Able to work up to 8 hours a day, and during school holidays
  • Committed to building strong relationships with children and whānau
  • Enthusiastic about creating fun-filled days for tamariki
  • Warm, caring nature
  • Confident communicator in English
  • NZ residency or NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
  • All potential employees are police vet checked


Whether you’re early childhood qualified, an ECE Teacher-in-training, or simply have a heart for children, we’d love to meet you and discuss this on-call relieving position. Our centre operating hours are 7.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
