We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Chef to join our team at Trentham Military Camp, Wellington .


This is a casual position, offering flexible hours to suit operational needs across a 7-day roster. You'll play a key role in preparing and delivering quality meals for Defence personnel while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.

  • Prepare, cook and present quality meals in line with menu requirements
  • Support daily kitchen operations including food preparation and cleaning
  • Maintain high food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent service
  • Assist with stock control and general kitchen duties as required

If you're our ideal candidate, you will have:


  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Safety Unit Standards 167 and 168 (preferred)
