Are you a confident customer service professional looking for your next opportunity in the public sector? We are seeking Customer Service superstars to support a busy government agency within a high‑volume inbound contact centre environment in Palmerston North.

What You’ll Be Doing


  • Answering inbound phone calls from members of the public
  • Providing accurate information and resolving customer queries
  • Logging information into internal systems
  • Managing customer interactions with professionalism and empathy
  • Navigating multiple systems in a fast‑paced environment
  • Escalating complex matters to the appropriate teams


What We’re Looking For


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience (call centre, hospitality, retail, reception or similar)
  • Calm, empathetic, and solutions‑focused approach
  • Tech‑savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Flexibility to work across a 7‑day roster
  • Reliable, positive, and team‑focused attitude


The Details:


  • Start: Early October. Minimum 12 month temporary assignment
  • Hours: Minimum 25 hours per week guaranteed but with the ability and flexibility to work up to 40 hours
  • Roster: Monday – Sunday, shifts between 6am and 1am
  • Training: Approximately 4 weeks of paid training (attendance required)
  • Availability: Must be available for at least 5 days across a 7‑day roster, including weekends. All in office work – no option to work from home or remotely.
  • Pay Rate: $29.90 per hour
