Job Description

THE GIG:


Are you an experienced Labourer with Civil Construction experience, or looking to transition from another field to Civil works?


We have a number of Civil roles based in various areas within Christchurch for those with physical fitness, a willingness to work within small crews of 3-4, with training and development on offer. Predominantly, the works will be leaving from the yard in Rolleston or Hornby. There will be some works out in the Cashmere hills also where you would report straight to site.


If you currently have your WTR and have experience on rollers and diggers, that is highly advantageous in your application.


The work we have is varied, with work on Subdivisions, Drainage Works as well as foundation and prep work for paths and replenishment. Previous work experience using hand and power tools is highly desired, as is plant such as plate compactors, etc.


Due to the strong workload for the foreseeable future, our clients are only interested to hear from those with previous experience working within a team.  where you are happy to assist your colleagues, perform labour, and can communicate effectively and don't mind 10+ hour days and are open to Monday to Friday work with the odd Saturday.

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IF:


If you have the experience we're looking for and are ready to jump into a tight team and put in the mahi - we want to hear from you! You will be successful if the following sounds like you:


  • You can pass a drug screen
  • General Labouring or Civil Construction experience
  • Experience with Plate Compactors and/or Hand and Power tools
  • Full License - Restricted can be considered
  • Have your own reliable transport
  • Be Health and Safety conscious
  • Present well and understand you're representing the client on the day
