STMS A/B Practising – Waikato


Location: Waikato Region

Pay Rate: Competitive Hourly Wage

Experienced STMS A/B Practising Wanted!Tradestaff is looking for an experienced STMS A/B to join a busy traffic management team working on civil construction and roading projects throughout the Waikato region.

We're looking for someone who is confident managing traffic management operations, supervising crews and ensuring worksites are safe and compliant with traffic management requirements.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, manage and remove temporary traffic management sites.
  • Supervise and coordinate traffic management crews.
  • Ensure traffic management operations comply with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
  • Conduct site inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor traffic flow and make adjustments when required.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, contractors and crew members.
  • Complete required site documentation and safety checks.
  • Ensure the safety of workers, motorists and pedestrians.
  • What We're Looking ForCurrent STMS A and B Practising qualifications or recently held.
  • Full Class 1 and Class 2 driver's licences – essential.
  • Proven experience supervising traffic management operations.
  • Strong understanding of temporary traffic management requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions onsite.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours when required.
