Te tūranga | The role:


We have an awesome opportunity for a Customer Specialist to join the friendly team at our Riccarton Advice Centre.


This is a permanent, full-time position. We’re looking for someone who can be flexible with their working hours and available to work rostered shifts across Monday to Saturday.


As a Customer Specialist, you’ll support customers with a broad range of banking queries and requests. With ASB offering a range of innovative digital banking solutions, you’ll also play an important role in helping customers understand and feel confident using the different banking options available to them.


No two days are quite the same. You’ll be connecting with a wide range of customers, asking the right questions to understand their needs and helping them find the banking solutions that work best for them.

This opportunity will suit someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a busy customer-facing environment and is keen to build a career in banking.


We’re looking for someone who:


  • Brings a genuine passion for delivering great customer experiences
  • Is confident building relationships and connecting with people from all walks of life
  • Can learn quickly, adapt and respond positively in a busy environment
  • Is comfortable asking questions to understand what customers really need
  • Has the confidence to educate customers on digital and self-service banking options
  • Is flexible and able to work rostered shifts across Monday to Saturday
  • Is keen to learn, develop and build their career with ASB


Previous banking experience isn’t essential. Strong customer service experience, curiosity and a willingness to learn will set you up well.
