Looking for consistent work with a four-day work week? We're seeking reliable and hardworking Recycling Sorters to join a busy recycling facility in Tauranga. If you enjoy hands-on work, are physically fit, and take pride in contributing to a cleaner environment, we'd love to hear from you.


This is an ongoing opportunity with immediate starts available, offering consistent afternoon and night shifts from Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm – 1:00am .


About the role

As a Recycling Sorter, you'll play an important role in ensuring recyclable materials are correctly sorted and processed. Working on a conveyor line, you'll help maximise recycling outcomes while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


What you'll be doing

  • Sorting recyclable materials including plastics, paper, cardboard, and cans
  • Removing contamination and non-recyclable items from the conveyor line
  • Ensuring materials are correctly separated for processing
  • Carrying out quality checks to maintain recycling standards
  • Assisting with general yard duties and housekeeping
  • Supporting machine operators and supervisors as required
  • Following all health and safety procedures


What we're looking for

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work
  • Able to work afternoon/night shifts consistently
  • Reliable transport to and from work
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Clear Ministry of Justice criminal history check
  • Previous experience in recycling, warehousing, manufacturing, or labouring is an advantage but not essential
