Busy Lizzy Gardens is a team of educated, talented and passionate landscape architects, builders, horticulturalists, landscapers and project managers. We strive for excellent customer service from initial consultation to finished product.


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team.


As a landscaping gardener you will be responsible for completing work to a high standard, alongside your team members. From lawn care and pruning, to weeding, planting, and trimming, you will lead by example and provide exceptional service to our clients.


To excel in this role, you should have experience as a landscape gardener and ideally experience in hard landscaping as well. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, with knowledge of plant care and maintenance, as well as the ability to operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment.


You will be able to use a variety of tools including chainsaws, lawn mower, hedge trimmer, weed wacker, power washer and assorted building tools. As a skilled communicator, you will be able to interact effectively with clients and team members alike, ensuring that their needs and concerns are always addressed.

Other key skills and attributes include:


  • 2 years experience or more
  • Horticultural qualification
  • Outstanding horticultural knowledge and an interest in plants
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk to clients
  • The ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised
  • The ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
  • Full driver's license for manual and automatic vehicles (we can train you on manual if needed)
  • Health and safety focus
  • Detail oriented
  • A high level of initiative
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • The right to work in NZ
