Job Description

Handy with tools and keen to get stuck in? Trade Assist is on the lookout for motivated Trades Assistants to join our team across Canterbury! Whether you've got some hands-on experience or are looking to build your skills in the trades, we've got great opportunities to keep you busy and help you grow.


What you'll be doing:


  • Assisting qualified tradespeople with day-to-day tasks
  • Using hand and power tools safely and confidently
  • Preparing tools, equipment and materials for the job
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Following site instructions and health & safety requirements
  • Working alongside a great crew to get the job done!


What we offer:


  • $25–$27 per hour, depending on experience
  • Variety of projects across Canterbury

What we're looking for:


  • A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
  • Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
  • Reliable transport to travel between job sites
  • Site Safe certification is a bonus, but not essential
