BestStart Melling is a purpose-built centre for tamariki aged three months to five years. We value our strong links with the wider community, including regular visits and excursions to local businesses, the retirement home, pet shop, supermarket, café, medical centre and dentist. These experiences help tamariki develop confidence, curiosity and a meaningful sense of belonging.

About the role


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our energetic, supportive team. This is a permanent role working [insert hours] per week, Monday to Friday .

About you


You will have:


  • A Level 7 ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current certification
  • Knowledge of child-led curriculum, planning and assessment
  • An understanding of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • A passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning
