Freight Sorter - Early Morning Shift | Airport, Manukau

Looking for a reliable early-morning role that fits around your lifestyle? We're looking for motivated Freight Sorters to join a busy and professional logistics operation based at Airport, Manukau.


This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is physically fit, and wants to build experience in the fast-paced freight and logistics industry.


The Role


As a Freight Sorter, you'll help keep freight moving efficiently by sorting, scanning, loading and unloading shipments while ensuring everything is handled safely and accurately.


Shift:

  • 2:00am - 7:00am
  • Shifts are subject to roster requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Sorting and organising freight accurately by destination, size and type
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely
  • Moving freight around the warehouse using conveyors and other equipment
  • Checking shipments for damage and ensuring freight is correctly labelled
  • Scanning and recording freight information accurately
  • Working closely with warehouse staff and drivers to keep freight moving on time
  • Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe workplace

What We're Looking For


You don't need years of freight experience - we're looking for people with the right attitude and work ethic.


You'll need to be:

  • Reliable and punctual, especially for early-morning starts
  • Physically fit and comfortable handling freight throughout your shift
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Safety-focused with good attention to detail
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Have a clear criminal conviction history
