Working closely with the Head of Equities, Fund Managers and broader investment team, you'll analyse listed companies, identify investment opportunities, and contribute to portfolio performance through informed recommendations and market insights.

You'll develop deep expertise across your designated industry sectors and coverage universe, building robust financial models, assessing company valuations, and communicating investment ideas with confidence and influence. Beyond fundamental research, you'll contribute to strategic portfolio discussions, support investment decision-making, and help maintain the high standards of investment excellence that underpin ANZ Investments' reputation.

Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.

The Equity Analyst position is a dynamic and intellectually stimulating role where you'll combine analytical rigour with commercial thinking. Some of your day-to-day activities may include:

  • Conducting detailed research and analysis of Australasian listed companies, industries and market trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Building and maintaining financial models, valuation frameworks and investment recommendations that support portfolio construction and performance.
  • Presenting research findings and investment ideas to the Head of Equities, Fund Managers and broader investment team, contributing to robust investment debate and decision-making.
  • Supporting portfolio management activities, including performance analysis, client reporting and the development of investment commentary for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships with company management teams, brokers, research providers and other industry participants to enhance market insights and investment outcomes.
  • Contributing to a strong risk and compliance culture by ensuring portfolios operate within governance requirements and supporting the management of investment, operational and regulatory risks.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced investment professionals, develop deep market expertise, and make a meaningful contribution to delivering long-term value for our clients.
