Mō te Tūranga | About the role:


The Business Support Squad within Digital Workplace Platform is responsible for providing reliable technical support and maintenance of business applications relating to ASB legal, risk, service management, and marketing.


You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued.


We promote agile, cross-functional teams that engage with all aspects of engineering. We are seeking energetic outward thinking candidates with a diverse set of technical skills, as well as leadership, effective communication, and the ability to mentor and guide a technical team.


  • Understanding of batch processing, work schedulers, and workflow orchestration.
  • In-depth knowledge of network topologies (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, proxy, DNS and subnets).
  • Security & compliance (Identity & access management, AD, AAD, SSO, RBAC).
  • A solid understanding of DevSecOps principals (vulnerability management and observability).
  • Hybrid architecture both on-prem & cloud (SaaS).
  • Experience with Agile methodology and Azure Dev Ops (Git, jfrog, GitHub).
  • PowerShell, Bash & Python (scripting of repetitive operational tasks).
  • Comfortable with change control process, testing, and roll back planning.
  • BCP/ DR failover and recovery experience.
  • Web service configuration experience (IIS).
  • Integration and data (SFTP/API).
  • Core infrastructure and systems skills with understanding of Windows server administration.
