The Venue

Award winning, Azabu has long been a mainstay in the Ponsonby dining scene and now with a beachside location in Mission Bay . The menu combines Nikkei-influenced dishes and modern Japanese with an emphasis on the fun and the interesting. Azabu is situated on the iconic Ponsonby Road.


The Opportunity


We have an opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager for Azabu Ponsonby! Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience in a comparable role, the ability to work well under pressure, the flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests!


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day operations of the venue including; staff performance, customer experience, and quality of offerings at all times
  • Legal compliance of the venue in particular to the Sale of Alcohol Act 2012
  • Assisting with events and group bookings
  • Financial management ensuring costs (labour and goods) are well managed
  • Assist with the training and development of junior team members
  • Maintaining venue standards and presentation at all times
