Student Worker


Calling all Dunedin students! Looking for flexible casual work that can fit around your studies? Tradestaff is building a strong pool of reliable student workers for a wide variety of casual assignments across Dunedin. Whether you want to earn some extra cash, gain practical experience or keep busy during semester breaks, we want to hear from you.


Location: Central, Dunedin

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: $26–$28 per hour depending on the job, site and location – paid weekly


What kind of work could you be doing?


No two assignments are necessarily the same, with opportunities potentially including:


  • Demolition work, site clean-ups and demolition support
  • Civil labouring, traffic control and STMS work where appropriately qualified
  • Driving, offsiding and assisting tradies on site
  • Furniture removals, general labouring and heavy lifting
  • Landscaping, digging trenches and other outdoor work
  • Factory work and basic machine operation
  • Car grooming and cleaning construction or event sites


What we're looking for


  • A minimum Restricted NZ driver licence
  • Reliable transport to get to different job sites
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Reliable and ready to turn up when you've committed to an assignment
  • Comfortable with physical and hands-on work
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
