x2 - Cafe/Restaurant Chefs - Dinner Service

Prebbleton, Christchurch | Opening Mid-November 2026

Wednesday to Sunday | 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

We are looking for TWO talented and passionate Cafe/Restaurant - Dinner Chefs to join an exciting new café and restaurant opening in Prebbleton this November!


Our client is a well-established and expanding hospitality company operating multiple successful cafés, extensive catering services and major hospitality contracts.


With continued growth, they're opening their newest venue in Prebbleton and are seeking experienced chefs who thrive in a busy dinner service environment.


Your Main Responsibilities:


- Prepare, cook and present exceptional à la carte dinner dishes.

- Deliver consistently high-quality restaurant-style meals.

- Prepare and cook a variety of meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and other menu dishes.

- Manage food preparation, cooking and plating during busy dinner services.

- Assist with menu development, daily specials and seasonal dishes.

- Ensure excellent food presentation, portion control and consistency.

- Coordinate orders and maintain efficient service during peak dining periods.

- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.

- Work collaboratively with other chefs and front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences.


What We're Looking For:


- Proven experience as a Restaurant Chef, Chef de Partie or similar.

- Strong à la carte and dinner service experience.

- Confident cooking skills across a variety of dishes and cooking techniques.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.

- Excellent food presentation and attention to detail.

- Strong organisational, multitasking and time management skills.

- Passion for producing exceptional restaurant-quality food.

- Reliability, professionalism and a positive team attitude.
