Qualified Electrician


We're looking for a qualified and NZ registered Electrician to join a well-established Dunedin electrical company with a strong reputation for delivering quality workmanship. You'll enjoy a varied workload across residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout Dunedin and the surrounding Otago region, working alongside a supportive and professional team.


Location: Dunedin Central, Dunedin

Start date: As soon as you're ready

Pay rate: $35–$40 per hour, paid weekly


What You'll Be Doing


  • Complete electrical installations and fit-outs across residential, commercial, and industrial projects
  • Install, test, maintain, and commission wiring, switchboards, lighting, and electrical systems
  • Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction drawings
  • Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
  • Ensure all work complies with current New Zealand electrical regulations and health and safety standards
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining accurate job documentation


What You'll Need


  • NZ-qualified or overseas-qualified Electrician with relevant electrical experience, holding NZ Electrical Registration and a current EWRB Practising Licence
  • Proven experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and interpret electrical plans
  • High attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Your own hand tools
  • Full, clean NZ Driver Licence, with the ability to drive company work vehicles when required
  • Reliable work ethic, strong health and safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
