Supply Chain Finance Manager Opportunity

  • Circa $172k + 15% bonus
  • CBD and South Auckland locations
  • Manufacturing experience essential

The role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Finance Director, you’ll be the finance partner embedded with Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain — helping leaders understand not just what happened last month, but what to do about it next. Expect a broad, hands-on remit spanning:

  • Partnering with plant, operations and supply chain leaders on cost drivers, efficiency, yield and losses
  • Owning manufacturing costing and inventory — standard costing, valuation, provisions and variance analysis
  • Leading month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing and supply chain functions
  • Hunting down productivity and cost-saving opportunities and helping quantify the benefit case
  • Providing financial rigour on CAPEX, transformation and continuous improvement projects — business cases, modelling, investment reviews and benefits tracking
  • Working alongside Operations and Engineering on capacity planning and investment decisions
  • Improving finance processes, controls and analytics, partnering with IT and data teams along the way


About you

  • Solid experience in operations or supply chain finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment, with strong cost accounting and commercial chops
  • A knack for turning messy, complex data into insight leaders can actually act on
  • Hands-on experience across manufacturing costing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • The commercial confidence to influence senior stakeholders who don’t automatically defer to finance
  • Strong communicator who builds real relationships across Finance, Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain
  • Comfortable in ERP/EPM systems — Oracle experience is a bonus, not a must
  • A proactive, improvement-minded problem solver
  • CA, CIMA or CPA qualified, with an accounting or finance degree under your belt
