As a Registered Nurse at The Helier, you are passionate and caring for every person you work with. You’ll provide clinical leadership and ensure the highest level of quality care and procedures are being met and maintained. This is a rewarding opportunity in Private Aged Care that’s the first of its kind in New Zealand.


As a Registered Nurse, it is necessary you have:


  • Registration in New Zealand with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) as a Registered Nurse.
  • A current NCNZ annual practicing certificate.
  • A passionate understanding on quality care and consideration for residents and their whānau/families.
  • An understanding of the aged care environment and specific challenges or needs.
  • Make critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrating autonomy.
  • A positive “can do attitude” always ready to go the extra mile, building connections with the residents and their families/whānau.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and professional integrity
  • Respect for resident confidentiality


You will be responsible for:


  • Lead a Primary Nursing Care Model that is resident-focused, providing holistic, individualised care to the residents, ensuring a culture of excellence is evident.
  • Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Develop strong relationships with residents, providing them with the upmost care and attentiveness.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to care staff and team members.
  • Have an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development growth.
  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis.
