Skillford & Co Limited is seeking an experienced Class 5 Civil Tipper Driver for a full-time opportunity covering civil construction projects across Christchurch and North Canterbury.


This role is suited to a reliable, safety-focused driver with proven experience operating truck and trailer tipping units in civil environments.


About the Role Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating Class 5 truck and trailer units
  • Transporting aggregates, soil and other construction materials
  • Tipping and spreading materials safely on civil sites
  • Reversing and jackknifing truck and trailer units
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate logbooks
  • Communicating with dispatchers, supervisors and machine operators
  • Following all site and road safety requirements
  • Keeping the truck clean and reporting maintenance concerns


What We're Looking For You must have:

  • A current full Class 5 driver licence
  • Proven civil truck and trailer tipping experience
  • Confidence operating Road Ranger gearboxes
  • Strong reversing and jackknifing ability
  • A good understanding of driver hours and logbook requirements
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • Reliable transport and the ability to start work early
  • Flexibility to work across Christchurch and North Canterbury
  • A professional, dependable and hardworking attitude
  • WTR endorsements and experience spreading materials would be advantageous but are not essential.
