Job Description

Working for a food production factory assisting in the freezer department

Location: East Tamaki

Shift Times: 10pm - 6am

Rate : $26ph


Duties:

  • Assisting with palletizing and packing within freezer environment - Products are sent down a conveyor system from production line. Products received are boxed and frozen, handle with care and never remove your gloves when handling products.
  • Stacking cartons onto pallets for the team to prepare for dispatch
  • Cleaning when lines are slow and other duties are completed for dispatching, which include de-icing in ELA room.
  • Strict H&S protocols
    • must wear full freezer PPE at all times (this is provided)
    • must follow timely rotation in and out of freezer for breaks


Ideal Candidate:

  • Physically fit and can do heavy lifting of cartons (20-25kgs)
  • Excellent Health & Safety awareness - must follow strict safety protocols while on site
  • Ok to pass a pre-employment drug test & return a satisfactory Ministry of Justice criminal background check
  • Experience working in chiller / freezer environments ideal
