Loadmaster is a long-established New Zealand manufacturer of vehicle decks, tow bars and specialist vehicle fit-outs.


We are currently looking for a motivated and hands-on Tow Bar Installer to join our busy Sockburn facility.


This is a great opportunity for someone with previous tow bar fitting experience or an automotive installation background who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.


You'll be joining an experienced team in a modern, purpose-built workshop, with on-the-job training and support to help you get up to speed and confidently take on the role.


This is a varied installation role where you'll work on a range of vehicles and automotive accessories, including:


  • Tow bars and associated towing equipment
  • Winch bars and nudge bars
  • Roof racks and cargo barriers
  • Other vehicle accessories and aftermarket fit-outs


Working in a well-equipped workshop with vehicles positioned on platform hoists, you'll have the tools and facilities to carry out installations safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:


  • Previous experience fitting tow bars, preferred but not essential
  • Alternatively, experience in automotive accessory installation or a similar hands-on automotive role
  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
  • A reliable, positive attitude and a willingness to learn


The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
