Job Description

We're after someone who knows their way around an excavator, can work confidently without constant direction, and understands that civil work is a team effort. You'll spend time operating machinery but also need to be happy jumping off the machine and helping out on the ground when required.


Final trim experience would be a bonus, but it's not essential.

What you'll be doing:


  • Operating diggers across civil construction and earthworks sites
  • Digging trenches, moving material and carrying out general excavation
  • Working safely around underground services and other site personnel
  • Assisting with final trim where capable
  • Helping the ground crew when needed
  • Keeping your machine and work area safe and tidy


What we're looking for:


  • Proven digger or excavator operating experience
  • Confidence operating independently and safely
  • Civil construction or earthworks experience preferred
  • Final trim experience advantageous, but not essential
  • A reliable attitude and willingness to get stuck in on the ground
  • Relevant licences and endorsements advantageous
