Enterprise Applications Specialist

  • Drive the future of The Salvation Army's Service and Mission Information System (SAMIS)
  • Partner with frontline services to deliver meaningful technology solutions
  • Enable data-driven decision-making that supports mission outcomes across New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa

About the Business:

Digital Connect enables trusted information, effective enterprise systems, and connected digital services across The Salvation Army. The Data Connect team supports key organisational platforms, helping our people make informed decisions, improve service delivery, and achieve mission outcomes. We work closely with frontline ministries, support services, and technology partners to ensure our systems provide maximum value to the organisation.

About the Role:

As our Enterprise Applications Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing The Salvation Army's primary client and case management system, which helps our teams deliver services and support to people across New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.

Working closely with frontline teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners, you'll identify opportunities for improvement, solve complex business challenges, and ensure our systems and data help people make informed decisions. This is a varied role that combines business analysis, stakeholder engagement, system administration, reporting, and continuous improvement, all while contributing to meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve.

What will your responsibilities be:

  • Support and enhance The Salvation Army's core client and case management platform to meet organisational needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights and support decision-making.
  • Deliver user support, training, and guidance to ensure a positive system experience across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to projects that strengthen business processes, systems, and data quality.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be confident gathering requirements, analysing business processes, and designing effective solutions.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Be comfortable working with data, reporting tools, and translating information into actionable insights.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proven ability to translate business needs into system improvements that enhance service delivery, user experience, and organisational decision-making.

Our offer to you:

  • An additional working week of Salvation Army leave awarded annually on 1 July
  • Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeing
  • Subsidised flu vaccinations
  • Discounted Southern Cross Health Insurance
  • TSA discount card with retailers including Noel Leeming, Torpedo7, Placemakers and Beaurepaires
  • Ongoing professional development
  • The opportunity to contribute to purposeful work that directly supports communities across New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa

Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society'

This role is permanent full time and hours worked will be 37.5 per week.

The starting salary for this role will fall between $93,617.55 and $99,530.34.

The Salvation Army is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and believes workplaces thrive with diversity.
