Job Description

Looking for a role where no two shifts are quite the same? Red Badge Group is looking for a reliable and proactive Patrol Officer to join our Mobile Patrol team in Christchurch . You’ll be out and about across Christchurch and the wider region, working independently and helping provide a professional and trusted service to our customers.


This is a flexible deployment role with shifts that may vary from week to week. An advance roster will be provided, however flexibility is important as changes may be required at short notice.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct patrols across Christchurch and the wider region
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and other callouts as required
  • Complete lock and unlock services and site checks
  • Attend noise control callouts and support animal management activities
  • Provide a professional and positive security presence for our customers
  • Work independently and make sound decisions while on the job
  • Identify and report risks, incidents, and any required follow-up
  • Deliver friendly and professional customer service
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Follow Red Badge Group’s health & safety requirements and professional standards


Requirements


  • Current, clean full NZ driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and calmness under pressure
  • Flexibility for rostered shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Previous experience in mobile patrol, static security, or customer service is an advantage
  • Strong observation, reporting, and risk assessment skills
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand and at least 18 years of age
  • Hold, or be able to obtain, a current NZ COA (Certificate of Approval) security licence
  • Physically fit and able to perform mobile patrol and site checks throughout the shift
