We're a growing construction company delivering challenging, high-quality projects across New Zealand.


We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management and successful delivery of our construction projects.


This is an opportunity for someone who knows how to run a well-organised site, lead contractors and trades effectively, and keep projects moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


THE ROLE


As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating all on-site activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and in accordance with plans, specifications and required standards.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Managing day-to-day site operations and project delivery
  • Programming and sequencing works to maintain project timelines
  • Coordinating, managing and overseeing subcontractors and trades
  • Leading Health & Safety on site, including toolbox talks, SWMS and compliance
  • Monitoring workmanship, quality and construction methodology
  • Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and construction documentation
  • Identifying and resolving site issues before they impact delivery
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and professional site
  • Ensuring works comply with the NZ Building Act, NZS 3604 and relevant codes
  • Liaising effectively with project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders
  • Travelling as required to meet project demands
  • Working flexible hours when projects require, including occasional nights or shutdowns


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


You'll be an experienced Site Manager or senior construction professional who is confident taking responsibility for a project and making things happen.


You'll ideally bring:


  • Proven experience managing construction sites and subcontractors
  • Strong Health & Safety leadership
  • Sound knowledge of construction programming and sequencing
  • A strong understanding of the NZ Building Act and NZS 3604
  • The ability to confidently read and manage drawings and specifications
  • Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
  • A practical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • A trade background, ideally in carpentry
  • Site Safe / ConstructSafe, or willingness to obtain
  • LBP would be advantageous but isn't essential


Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership, holds high standards and cares about delivering projects properly.
