He angitūtanga | The Opportunity


We're looking for a motivated and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at the Waiouru Military Base . You'll oversee daily catering operations, lead a team of food service professionals, and ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service are consistently met. This is a permanent full-time position offering 40 guaranteed hours every week.


Ko ō kawenga | Your Responsibilities


  • Supervise and support catering staff during service, including task allocation and rostering.
  • Maintain clean and hygienic dining and kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and respond to requests and feedback professionally.
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, and presentation as required.
  • Ensure stock is received, rotated, and stored correctly, and supplies are replenished.
  • Follow all food safety, health and safety, and site compliance procedures

  • Previous experience in a similar catering or supervisory role
  • Strong team leadership skills with the ability to work independently
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A flexible, reliable and hardworking approach
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy catering environment
  • A Food Handling Certificate would be advantageous
